TGaS Advisors Offers Benchmark-based Services to Support Integration Following Recent Wave of Mergers & Acquisitions

East Norriton, Penn., March 17, 2009 – The rapid pace of healthcare industry mergers and acquisitions raises serious challenges for managing integration, both internal and external. TGaS Advisors, a comprehensive benchmarking and advisory services firm focused on pharmaceutical commercial organizations, is offering the firm’s benchmark services to support the complex operational decisions companies must make during times of change.

“Many of our operations clients have already begun asking us for advice because of our in-depth knowledge of their operations and our breadth of experience across Sales, Marketing and Managed Markets organizations,” said Stephen Gerard, TGaS Advisors Managing Partner. He cited TGaS Advisors’ extensive, confidential database as a rich resource for understanding the broad outlines of “How other pharmaceutical companies do it”® and advising companies accordingly.

“Because we work with the majority of the top 50 pharma organizations, companies recognize that we are a logical bridge and advisor during times of transition,” said Gerard. “We already have data useful to both partners in terms of coordination and scalability and can help them hit the ground running when time is of the essence. Once the integration is under way, we can advise companies with their post-integration business planning and strategy in operations.”

TGaS Advisors can help companies identify Best Practices in such key sectors as Sales Force Automation and Market Research, for example, areas of significant operational investment, and provide operations executives with the tools to make decisions quickly and efficiently.

Gerard identified a three-phase process: 1) Assessment, 2) Best Practices and 3) Integration.
* Assessment: Benchmark current resources and capabilities for all operations organizations.
* Best Practices: Evaluate current and likely future Best Practices and advise on resources, capabilities, sourcing and organizational decisions.
* Integration: Advise on resource synergies and sizing models, short- and long-term capabilities, strategies and organization structures and roles; help develop post-integration operations business plans and strategy roadmaps.

Bringing it all together, TGaS Advisors would then advise clients with an objective, unbiased roadmap for integrating the operations function. “We have a unique perspective on the revolutionary changes going on in the industry at this moment with a unique body of knowledge that can help companies through these changes,” said Gerard. “We’re happy to help.”
