Tom Bang

Executive in Residence

Tom Bang, Executive in Residence, TGaS^® Advisors, has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. At TGaS, which he joined in 2008, Bang helps guide the company’s internal operations and also works with clients.

During more than 30 years working in the pharmaceutical sector, Bang held positions in sales, marketing and general management and gained insights about virtually every aspect of the business. The bulk of his career was spent at Roche Laboratories where he began as an award-winning sales representative before moving on to hold positions of increasing responsibility, including Chief Operating Officer, Roche Pharmaceuticals Canada. He subsequently was assistant vice president, business planning, for Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, responsible for U.S. market research, information and planning functions. Prior to joining TGaS, Bang was president of TVG Marketing Research & Consulting.

Bang holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota and has continued his education with numerous MBA courses as well as executive training seminars from leading universities. Bang has been a speaker at numerous pharmaceutical industry conferences and events and he has contributed articles to trade publications. He is an active member of several professional organizations and serves as a board member for religious and charitable groups.
