President and Founder, Management Advisor
Stephen Gerard founded TGaS® Advisors in 2003 after working in the pharmaceutical industry for almost 20 years.
Gerard gained first-hand knowledge of various aspects of the industry during seven years spent at Schering-Plough Corporation, which he joined in 1987. While there, Gerard held a variety of increasingly responsible posts. He spent two years in finance, three years in the field sales organization, including one year as a primary care sales representative, one year as a hospital and managed care manager and another year as a district manager. He became a leader in sales operations from 1992-1994, which coincided with the launch years for the Claritin brand of allergy medication.
In 1994 Gerard moved to IMS Health Inc. as managing director of the decision support group. His group invented and launched many solutions that still are key services for IMS Health today. During his final three years at IMS, Gerard served as vice president of account management and was responsible for some of IMS Health’s largest clients at that time. After a brief stint at an Internet firm (drkoop.com), Gerard spent three years at SimStar Internet Solutions, a leading provider of Internet-based marketing support to the pharmaceutical industry, where he was COO. Gerard began his professional career in 1984 with PepsiCo.
Gerard received his Bachelors Degree from Rider University in 1984 and his Masters degree in Finance from Monmouth University in 1989. He also holds a retired CPA certification in New Jersey. Gerard has been a speaker at numerous pharmaceutical conferences and events over the past decade.
