Viela Bio, Commercial Operations Specialist

Viela Bio is looking for a talented and highly motivated Commercial Operations Specialist to support all Commercial Operations activities related to the commercialization of Viela Bio’s first FDA-approved product, UpliznaTM. Responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to, general operational support of the Sales, Marketing and Market Access teams, supporting the administration and logistics of Viela’s promotional review committee, provide input into the gathering and reporting on commercial data and metrics, and playing an active role in meeting and event management. This position will be an integral part of the Commercial Operations team and will work cross-functionally with partners across the Viela Bio organization.

 Key responsibilities:

  • Sales Operations Support
    • Support the administration of Veeva CRM
    • Sales analytics and reporting
    • Internal meeting planning
    • Sales portal administration
    • Address ad hoc field team requests
  • Marketing Operations Support
    • Load documents and facilitate internal reviews of materials via the Veeva PromoMats system
    • Manage review timelines, working closely with Marketing and external creative agencies
    • Assist with the proofing of materials prior to internal review
    • Work with external vendors as well as internal reviewers and content submitters in support of the Promotional Review Board (PRB) process
    • Pull and report on PRB metrics for internal reporting
  • Speaker Programs, Meetings & Events
    • Assist in the general management of Viela Bio’s Promotional Speaker programs
    • Manage meeting planning and logistics for Viela Bio’s external commercial meetings, including regional as well as national events and congresses
    • Maintain listing of events
  • General Commercial Operations Support
    • Assist with document and file management for the commercial organization
    • Create slides for presentation at regular commercial meetings
    • Internal meetings support – scheduling, preparing and gathering slides and information, developing agendas, and taking meeting minutes
    • Budget and expense support for the Commercial Operations team

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Previous role in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and/or medical device sales operations or commercial operations group
  • Event and meetings management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Superior organizational skills, solutions-oriented, and highly detailed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Preferred: Experience with a CRM system and Veeva software

Education:  Bachelor’s degree with a major in the Life Sciences, Business, or Finance
