Job Description

Position overview and primary responsibilities

  • Develop contract strategy as it relates to value based contracting aligned with current launch or in-line Brands and Biosimilars as applicable.
  • Work with Account Managers to devise contractual pricing & terms for Value Based Contracting products.
  • Lead the Value Based Contracting process from start to completion including preparing the financial evaluation, obtaining business unit approval, developing the term sheet, legal review, and contract execution. Review all Account proposals for Best Price and coordinate all related contracting for purchase discount contracts including any GPO, Specialty Pharmacy, and retail/mail discount contracts related to Payer.
  • Participate in PBM/Payor contracting scenarios in order to develop an understanding of all in-line TevaBrands. This job does require cross-training with our PBM/Payor contracting team, and this individualmust possess the ability to act as the Contract Manager for our PBM/Payor business.
  • Act as the Strategic Pricing & Contracting liaison in all areas for Value Based Contracting. Participate in all Brand team meetings and strategy development sessions.The Sr. Contract Manager reports to the Director, Strategic Pricing & Contracting. This position is a Shared Service position and provides support for all Teva brand products.

Major duties and responsibilities required to achieve the position objectives and be successful in the Contract Manager role.

  • Devise strategy for Value Based Contracts for launch and in-line Branded & in Biosimilar products.
  • Consult with Account Managers on product access strategies, completing the detailed account background summary, and prepare the contract proposals for business unit review.
  • Develop financially sound product contracting terms & Conditions and prepare financial evaluation model
  • Participate in appropriate pharmaceutical, contracting, Market Access, healthcare, and regulatory, trainingand developmental opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor Degree required, MBA preferred

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 6 in Finance, Accounting, or Analytical Roles
  • Minimum of 6 in Pharmaceutical o Payer/PBM Experience (Sales, Managed Care)
  • Minimum of 3 in Value Based Contracting Experience
  • Minimum of 6 in Contracting or Pricing Experience

Experience Preferred

  • Microsoft Excel, analysis tools, and query tools
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry, preferably payer contracting for a manufacturer, Health Plan, or PBM.
  • Exposure to current Pharmaceutical and Healthcare issues, structure, rules, and laws.
