The Associate Director, Customer Engagement has responsibility for leading both the Speaker Programs Operations and Meetings & Conventions across all brands. This role will monitor and manage the groups' effectiveness, provide counsel, promote cost savings initiatives, and ensure programs follow consistency and standardization while adhering to controls & compliance guidelines. This position reports to the Director, Marketing Operations and interacts with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and Compliance. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and has demonstrated ability handling diverse live event projects in support of multiple brand teams.


  • Establish and maintain business plans and develop positive business relationships with sales and marketing, and other senior management to ensure the plans align with the Commercial Organization's goals and objectives
  • Lead and facilitate business process assessments, making recommendations, socializing and facilitating implementation of changes
  • Forecasts costs and manages budget. Negotiates favorable pricing with a wide variety of vendors. Ensures timely payment of invoices and billing reconciliation, including accruals with Analyst and Finance. Ensures colleagues explore cost savings opportunities and synergies
  • Maintain data analysis - collect, analyze, and distribute feedback and metrics on programs and provide a top line summary including recommendations for next year's plan. Seek out ideas and opportunities from brands.
  • Support the Director, Marketing Operations, providing consultative advice as it relates to the optimization of the Speaker function, based on input from relevant stakeholders
  • Direct and lead the day to day activities of Speaker Program Operations and Meeting & Conventions, ensuring that all activity is being conducted according to established SOPs
  • Evaluate, develop/update and implement department SOPs and processes as needed


  • Ability to influence without authority and interact with all levels of internal and external personnel regarding every aspect of Speaker Programs and Meeting & Convention Management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills (multi-tasking is a must)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Successfully managed a team and can demonstrate their development to others
  • Demonstrated a high degree of competence in all elements of the role listed above
