John Carro
SVP, Life Sciences Network

John Carro is responsible for existing services as well as for developing innovative new solutions, such as the Emerging Life Sciences Network. John works with commercial operations leaders within the top 35 pharmaceutical/biotech companies to optimize existing commercial operations departments. In addition, he has established new central departments in companies where none previously existed in pre-commercial to Top 10 firms.

John's career, spanning more than 20 years in the industry, has positioned him to respond to the needs of pharmaceutical clients. His background includes senior-level experience in the top five, mid-tier and pre-commercial pharmaceutical commercial operations environments. He has held positions in sales, marketing, commercial operations and finance, giving him a broad, cross-functional perspective in virtually every aspect of commercial operations in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry.

John came to TGaS® Advisors in 2008 from King Pharmaceuticals, where he was Vice President, Commercial Operations. While at King, John led the establishment of a new commercial operations presence by providing strategic direction as the company's infrastructure was relocated to New Jersey from Tennessee. He assessed, restructured, built and directed the sales, marketing and market access commercial operations platform for the $1.7 billion branded business.


John holds a BS in accounting from Seton Hall and an MBA from Villanova. He earned a Certificate of Business Excellence from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
